Sensor malfunction

10

The sensor has failed.

No connection

11

elproMONITOR has no connection to the module / data logger to which the affected sensor is connected.

Reload

12

After a connection interruption, buffered values are reloaded in the module.

In case of longer interruptions of the connection, the reloading may take some time. For example, an ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR measuring module requires approx. 130 minutes to reload a completely full buffer. The ECOLOG-PRO radio modules ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR, 2PTR and 1THR can reload 114 measured values per minute and channel.

Disabled by user

The sensor alarm was deactivated by the calibration process.

Deactivated by time control

14

The sensor alarm has been deactivated by the time control.

Deactivated by calibration

15

The sensor alarm has been deactivated by the user.

Decommissioned

16

The sensor is no longer monitored and cannot be reactivated. The recorded measured values are not deleted and can still be called up via the sensor analysis.

A decommissioned sensor is not deleted from the license list.

1.3 Sensor analysis

elproMONITOR has several functions for analyzing and exporting the recorded measured values.

1.3.1 Select period for sensor analysis

Period sensor analysis

Specification of the time range of the recorded data displayed in the chart. By limiting the time range, the displayed range is zoomed. The time range can be specified in different ways:

  • Quicklinks

  • Time range From ... To: and "Display" button

  • Previous" and "Next" button

  • Zoom in the graphic

Period Sensor Analysis - Quicklinks

The preset quicklinks allow quick selection of typically required time ranges:

  • Last 7 days - The measured values of the last seven days including the current day are displayed.

  • Previous week - The readings of the previous week from Monday to Sunday are displayed.

  • previous calendar month - the readings of the previous calendar month from the first to the last day are displayed.

  • last year - The measured values of the last full year from the first to the last day are displayed.

Period Sensor Analysis - Zoom

By marking a subrange of the graph, this time range is displayed.

1.3.2 Applicable functions

Export

Export" exports the data for the selected period of sensor analysis in tabular form as an MS-EXCEL file.

If several sensors have been selected, the data for each sensor will be exported in a new register of the MS-Excel file.

The selected times in the report correspond to the selected UTC+/-hh:mm time zone of the user (in this example UTC-07:00) which is noted in the Time Zone column of the export.

Report

The Sensor Analysis report includes an overview graph on the first page followed by measurement graphs and event data for each selected sensor in the selected time period. In this report, sensors and digital inputs are treated equally, i.e. the size (number of pages) of the sensor analysis created as a *.pdf file is determined by the number of sensors and digital inputs as well as the selected time period of the sensor analysis.

The selected times in the report correspond to the selected UTC+/-hh:mm time zone of the user (in this example UTC-07:00) which is noted in the footer text of the report.

Report - Overview graphic

Report - Graphic Sensor 1

Report - Events Sensor 1

Close

Closes the current window and returns to the Monitor overview.

1.3.3 Details sensor analysis

Sensor group and graphic

In the left area of the sensor analysis all sensors of the sensor group selected for the sensor analysis can be selected. By selecting single and multiple sensors in combination with a time period, the corresponding measured values can be loaded.

By simply clicking on selected sensors in a multiple selection, the measured values and highlighted statuses (time period for calibrating, deactivating and reloading) can be displayed emphasized.

When sorting in the sensor group, the selected and unselected sensors are sorted separately.

With multiple selection, up to two measured value units are displayed on the Y-axis. (e.g. °C and %RH). On the X-axis of the graph, the date and time of the measured values are indicated, which can be measured even more precisely with the cursor.

A maximum of 2 different measured value units and a maximum of 25 sensors can be displayed. If these values are exceeded, a corresponding message is displayed.

Interruptions in the graph are due to periods of sensor malfunction or lack of power supply at the corresponding module.

An interruption of the connection to the ECOLOG-PRO and ECOLOG-NET modules does not lead to missing or invalid measured values, since these data are reloaded after a new connection is established. Such interruptions are always due to the lack of the possibility to record measured values, such as:

  • Lack of energy supply

  • Sensor malfunction

  • Sensor not connected

  • Sensor incorrectly connected

Measuring with the cursor

By moving the mouse pointer over the displayed curve, it can be measured and the following data is given for each data point:

  • Sensor name (e.g. Warehouse Temperature 1)

  • Date (e.g. 08.Mar.2022 04:30)

  • value (e.g. 29.2 °C)

The specified date and time are displayed in the user's selected UTC+/-hh:mm time zone (UTC-07:00 in this example).

highlighted status

In the graph, the following important periods of important statuses are highlighted by means of an appropriate background color:

  • Gray: deactivated sensor alarm

  • Green: Reloaded values

  • Orange: Active calibration

Details

Below the graphic, detailed information and statistical data for each individual sensor are available as a list and can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on the sensor name. In case of multiple selection, the details of all selected sensors are displayed one after the other. This information always corresponds to the selected time period.

The specified date and time are displayed in the user's selected UTC+/-hh:mm time zone (UTC-07:00 in this example).

Statistical data:

  • Average

  • Lowest/highest value - The minimum or maximum value measured in the corresponding time interval is determined.

  • MKT - Mean Kinetic Temperature, for information on the theory of MKT calculation, see relevant technical literature.

Deactivated periods are not included in the statistics.

Event log

Below the details, a chronological event log for all selected sensors is available as a list and can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on the on events. This information always corresponds to the selected time period.

The specified date and time are displayed in the user's selected UTC+/-hh:mm time zone (UTC-07:00 in this example).

The logged events contain the following data:

  • Date & Time

  • Event - description of the event

  • User - this can be a logged in user or elproMONITOR itself

  • Incident No. - Unique sequential number for each event. Incidents belonging to the same event are documented with the same incident number, for example, all events belonging to the same alarm.

  • Type - information group to which an event can be assigned.

    • Information

    • Warning

    • Error

    • Alarm

  • Priority - criteria for events that have similar importance

    • high

    • normal

    • deep

  • Entry and value - Each event logs specific entries

All events are also logged in elproEVENT. Details see >> SV3031D elproEVENT Operating Instructions

1.3.4 Reload measured values

After a system failure, elproMONITOR reloads the missing measured values from the internal memory of the data loggers. This procedure automatically replenishes missing data and closes existing recording gaps.

ECOLOG-PRO

In ECOLOG-PRO, the Reload function is independent of the recording interval of the individual modules.
(e.g. for an ECOLOG-PRO 4PT module with 4 channels and a recording interval of 10 minutes, approx. the last 17 days can be reloaded)

ECOLOG-NET

Each ECOLOG-NET logger must be programmed for a recording interval of 1 minute. The typical time periods for reloading are 5 days (8-channel logger) or 11 days (4-channel logger).

ECOLOG-PRO Radio

The reload speed of the ECOLOG-PRO radio modules is limited by the radio transmission. 114 measured values per minute and channel can be transmitted. For example, an ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR measuring module requires approx. 130 minutes to reload a completely full buffer. The ECOLOG-PRO radio modules ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR, 2PTR and 1THR can reload 114 measured values per minute and channel under optimal conditions.

With larger systems, the reload time may also increase.

The current connection status of the module is indicated by the following statuses (see >> 1.2. status):

  • OK

  • no connection - system failure or connection interruption

  • Logger Interval Error- Error message: Logger Interval Error, for an ECOLOG-NET logger with wrong logging interval. No data is reloaded!

  • Reload - After a connection interruption, buffered values are reloaded in the module.

Reloaded values are highlighted in the sensor analysis. See >> 1.3.3. details sensor analysis

  • No labels
