System Description elproMONITOR, ECOLOG-PRO and ECOLOG-NET
1. Introduction to elproMONITOR
This application is used for monitoring, displaying and archiving the sensor data of the I/O modules (ECOLOG-PRO, ECOLOG-NET) and for forwarding alarm messages.
The following functions are part of the elproMONITOR application:

1.1.3 User Interface
After the successful login, elproMONITOR changes to the start window divided into 4 areas.

Click on the ELPRO logo to open the elproMONITOR info window... with the current product version and program version.
Clicking on "Monitor" opens the start window or also >> elproMONITOR / Monitor

The following information is displayed right-aligned in the menu bar:
Load..: Reference to a loading process (e.g. when updating the measured values).
Currently set time zone (UTC +/- hh:mm)
Logout from elproMONITOR by clicking on Logout (Manadant/user)
Currently logged in client/user (optional, e.g. DevMonitor/admin) or user (e.g. admin) is displayed.
II - Overview column for groups, filters and settings
Here, depending on the selected overview, the following functionalities are displayed:
"Monitor": Selection option for all sensors and the sensor groups defined under Settings → Sensor groups.
"Calibration": Filter for active and all calibrations, filter by date and filter by calibration number
"Deviations": Filter for Active or Unacknowledged Deviations, Filter by Date, Filter by Incident Number, Filter by Sensor Alarms, Sensor Warnings, Sensor Malfunctions and System Malfunctions.
"Settings" Selection option for setting to devices, profiles, the program and the user.
III - Detail column
This area contains all information about the groups, filters or settings selected in the overview column.
The detail column consists of a column title (group 1) and the column content adapted to the selected overview (e.g. sensor, I/O module, alarm profile, value, status, etc.) as a table.
The following functionalities can be executed in the table:
A. Selection of all rows of the table for the execution of applicable functions (see IV).
B. Selection of single or several specific lines on which applicable functions (see IV) can be executed.
C. Sorting the column in ascending or descending order. The sorting process is triggered by a mouse click on the column title.
D. Functions that are executed directly on the corresponding line regardless of the line selection (see A or B).

Depending on the selected overview, different functionalities can be executed here.
Page by page scrolling
In some overviews with large amounts of data in the table, the selection (Forward | Back) allows scrolling down or up the table page by page.
1.1.4 Confirmations
Actions performed are confirmed with a message related to the action.
Successful
The desired action is performed
Warning
Warnings are notices about the current action that has not yet been performed.
Error
Errors can be caused by wrong or missing entries and are generally displayed for the whole selection and/or if possible directly at the field concerned.

2. ECOLOG-PRO Modules
The I/O modules (communication modules) are the link between the monitoring software elproMONITOR and the measuring modules. The measuring modules with their sensor and contact inputs record the plant data and alarms are triggered by the digital output modules. The channels of the ECOLOG-PRO modules can only be configured when the associated I/O module is recognized by elproMONITOR. Mixed operation with ECOLOG-NET data logger is possible. Two basic types of I/O modules can be distinguished on the basis of the connection to elproMONITOR:
I/O modules directly connected via Ethernet
wireless I/O modules connected via a bridge (ECOLOG-PRO RBR)
2.1 Application Notes and Device Data
Power supply unit
Observe the safety and application instructions for the power supply unit. Only operate the device with the supplied power supply unit. An incorrect power supply unit can damage the device. Replace defective or damaged power supply units.
Cleaning
For cleaning, use only a slightly damp cloth and never use thinner, benzine, alcohol or other cleaning agents, as these can damage the housing.
Environmental conditions
Before commissioning, the modules must be at room temperature!
Outside the specified limits, the functions are no longer guaranteed. Environment 0 °C..40 °C, 10 %rH..90 %rH, non-condensing.

2.1 Ethernet I/O Modules and System Bus of Measuring Modules
The ECOLOG-PRO LBR can be extended by adding measuring modules via the system bus. The data transmission to the elproMONITOR is done via the integrated Ethernet interface.
The minimum configuration consists of one I/O module (e.g. ECOLOG-PRO LBR) and one measuring module (e.g. ECOLOG-PRO 4PT). Further modules can be added at the end of the measuring module chain.
2.1.1 ECOLOG-PRO LBR Communication Module
The ECOLOG-PRO LBR is the communication and power supply module. It has 1 Ethernet and 1 power supply connection. It is used for communication of remote modules with elproMONITOR, installed either on ECOLOG-PRO BASE or a server provided by the customer, via the Ethernet network. The power supply of the connected ECOLOG-PRO measurement modules is provided via the system bus. The I/O module does not contain any measurement parameters that can be recorded with elproMONITOR. It is not listed in the list of modules, but must be recorded as an I/O module in elproMONITOR.

2.1.2 Measuring Module PT100 - ECOLOG-PRO 4PT
The ECOLOG-PRO 4PT is the measuring module for temperature. The module has 4 inputs for PT100 temperature sensors for temperature recording between -200°C and 200°C. Pt100 sensors are used as temperature sensors. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 10'000 measured values. For operation it is connected to an ECOLOG-PRO LBR module.

2.1.3 Measuring Module 4-20mA - ECOLOG-PRO 4MA
The ECOLOG-PRO 4MA is the measuring module for analog signals. The module has 4 inputs for 4..20 mA standard signals. The monitored transmitters can be powered by the module or an external power supply. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 10'000 measured values. For operation it is connected to an ECOLOG-PRO LBR module.

2.1.4 Measuring Module T/rH - ECOLOG-PRO 2TH
ECOLOG-PRO 2TH is the measuring module for temperature and humidity. 2 T/rh sensors can be connected to the module. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 10'000 measured values. For operation it is connected to an ECOLOG-PRO LBR module.

2.1.5 Measuring Module Contact Inputs - ECOLOG-PRO 4DI
The ECOLOG-PRO 4DI is the module with 4 contact inputs (digital inputs) of the ECOLOG-PRO system. The monitored contacts are powered by the module. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 10'000 measured values. For operation it is connected to an ECOLOG-PRO LBR module.

2.1.6 Measuring Module Contact Outputs - ECOLOG-PRO 4DO
ECOLOG-PRO 4DO is the module with 4 alarm outputs (digital outputs) of the ECOLOG-PRO system. . It has an internal memory with a capacity of 10'000 measured values. For operation it is connected to an external power supply and connected to an ECOLOG-PRO LBR module.

2.2 Wireless ECOLOG-PRO Radio I/O Modules with Integrated Measuring Module
The wireless ECOLOG-PRO Radio I/O Modules ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR, ECOLOG-PRO 2PTR and ECOLOG-PRO 1THR each have a fixed measuring module integrated and cannot be extended. The wireless I/O modules are connected via a so-called radio bridge ECOLOG-PRO RBR. The ECOLOG-PRO RBR acts as a pure gateway between the wireless data transmission via 868/915 MHz between radio bridge and I/O module and the connection to the elproMONITOR via LAN.
2.2.1 ECOLOG-PRO RBR Communication Module
The ECOLOG-PRO RBR is a communication module that acts as a gateway between wireless I/O modules. It has 1 Ethernet, 1 power supply connector and a radio antenna for wireless communication. It is used to communicate remote wireless radio I/O modules with elproMONITOR, installed either on ECOLOG-PRO BASE or a customer provided server, via Ethernet network. Up to 50 wireless radio I/O modules can be connected per ECOLOG-PRO RBR. The ECOLOG-PRO RBR module does not contain any measurement parameters which can be recorded with elproMONITOR. It is not listed in the list of modules, but the module ID and the network ID of the ECOLOG-PRO RBR via which it is connected are listed with the wireless I/O modules.

2.2.2 Wireless Measuring Module NTC ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR
ECOLOG-PRO 1NTR is a wireless radio I/O module with integrated measuring module for temperature. The module has 1 integrated NTC temperature sensors for temperature recording between -35°C and 50°C. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 14'800 readings. For operation, an ECOLOG-PRO RBR communication module is required as a gateway.

2.2.3 Wireless Measuring Module PT100 ECOLOG-PRO 2PTR
ECOLOG-PRO 2PTR is a wireless radio I/O module with integrated measuring module for temperature. The module has 2 inputs for PT100 temperature sensors for temperature recording between -200°C and 200°C. PT100 sensors are used as temperature sensors. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 43’000 measured values. An ECOLOG-PRO RBR gateway is required for operation.

2.2.4 wireless Measuring Module T/rH ECOLOG-PRO 1THR
ECOLOG-PRO 1THR is a wireless radio I/O module with integrated measuring module for temperature and humidity. 1 T/rh sensors can be connected to the module. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 43’000 measured values. An ECOLOG-PRO RBR gateway is required for operation.

3. ECOLOG-NET Data Logger
The ECOLOG-NET data loggers are designated as I/O modules in the monitoring software elproMONITOR. The functionality realized in ECOLOG-PRO in the separate communication module is directly integrated in the ECOLOG-NET loggers. The ECOLOG-NET loggers with their sensors and digital inputs record the plant data. Before using the ECOLOG-NET loggers, they must be programmed with the elproLOG ANALYZE software.
3.1 ECOLOG-NET LP4 Data Logger
The ECOLOG-NET LP4 is a 4-channel logger for recording temperatures with PT100 sensors. The data logger has 4 inputs for PT100 temperature sensors for temperature recording between -200°C and 200°C. The temperature sensors are PT100 sensors. PT100 sensors are used as temperature sensors. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 64'000 readings. The logger communicates directly with elproMONITOR via the Ethernet network.

3.1 ECOLOG-NET LA8 Data Logger
The ECOLOG-NET LA8 is an 8-channel logger for recording 4-20mA signals. The data logger has 8 inputs for 4-20 mA standard signals. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 64'000 measured values. The logger communicates directly with elproMONITOR via the Ethernet network.

3.1 ECOLOG-NET LR8 Data Logger
The ECOLOG-NET LR8 is a wireless system consisting of the ECOLOG-NET LR8 wireless logger for recording data from up to 8 wireless sensors. It has an internal memory with a capacity of 64,000 readings. The logger communicates directly with elproMONITOR via the Ethernet network.

4. Alarm Interface LAN
The 2 channel alarm interface LAN, is directly controlled by elproMONITOR.
